Unity 4Teens/High School

The Unity 4Teens (U4T) Youth Development program was initiated in 2011 in response to the growing need for structure, enrichment, and mentoring opportunities for some of Broward’s underserved high school-age youth. Through our 2Generation approach, we not only have our youth in mind, but we also work with the families. Our success coaches will connect youth – and their families – to essential services and provide follow-up meetings with to ensure both youth and their family’s needs are being met.

U4T is a year-round after-school and summer program aiming to help eligible students attending one of the following high schools in Broward County:

U4T provides structured academic and support services that foster positive youth and family development in the following ways:

  • Create opportunities with our students for educational outreach,
  • Offer cultural and recreational activities that empower and help students meet/exceed stateaccountability standards,
  • Provide enrichment activities to increase attendance and graduation rates,
  • Reduce substance abuse, teen violence, and teen pregnancy,
  • And assist our youth in developing the skills and abilities to successfully transition to post-secondary education and employment through the guidance of a Success Coach.
